How loam works

You launch a coin and people trade it. Every trade pays a fee. Half or more of that fee goes back into the coin. Everything else follows published rules, and every payment the platform makes leaves a public receipt.

Launching a coin

The pools

loam does not run its own exchange. Before graduation each coin trades in a Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve pool that uses loam's settings. After graduation it trades in a Meteora DAMM v2 pool. Trades on the coin page go straight to those pools from your wallet.

After graduation the fee falls as the price rises, down to 0.3% at 200 times the graduation price. It does not go lower. If the price falls, the fee rises again.

Where the fees go

Back to the pool (default)

Meteora takes 20% of every curve fee first. The rest splits like this, as a share of the whole fee:

FeeTo the poolTo the creatorTreasuryMeteoraCreator per trade
1%50%9.6%20.4%20%0.096%
2%55%4.8%20.2%20%0.096%
3%56.6%3.2%20.2%20%0.096%

Paid to holders

1% on every trade. Holders get 65% of each fee, the treasury 15%, Meteora 20%. The creator gets no share, but is paid like any other holder if they hold the coin.
